We’ve had a swarm of ladybugs descend on our front yard, much to Gideon’s delight. He lies down on our sidewalk to pick them up, and begs me to place them on his hands so he can watch them crawl up his arm. There have been a few unfortunate accidents with certain ladybugs being inappropriately squeezed. But mostly, the fascination is a gentle one.
